The Stinger Cap is the mate to Assos' Robocap. While the Stinger and the Robocap are made with the same soft, beautiful, high-insulation material, the Robocap is thinner and thereby fits under a helmet less obtrusively. It's an ideal choice for retaining head warmth down to the low-40's. Think of the Stinger as your colder-weather option. When it dips below 40, the thicker material and added insulation of the Stinger are a big plus. You might need to do some helmet adjustments to make it fit as cleanly as the Robocap, but the extra warmth (especially across your forehead and ears) is worth it.

One other plus to the Stinger in our minds is its style points. You'd probably never wear the Robocap anywhere except under a helmet, but the Stinger is a lovely cap in and of itself. Whether it's skiing, hiking or doing the other sort of stuff people do outside when it's cold, you can wear the Stinger and feel warm (temperature-wise) but cool (GQ-wise) all at once.
