CERVÉLO T1

The Cervélo T1 Track Frameset has a fully sculpted Smartwall 3 aluminum tubeset that's sure to smooth the airflow over the bike as you pedal your way through a pursuit, points race, or match sprint. Cervélo's extensive wind tunnel testing has helped them refine their airfoil shapes to give you the experience of flying on the track with minimal resistance. These aren't mere oval-looking tubes to give it an aero appearance. You're getting real airfoils here: Rounded leading edge, sharp trailing edge. With the T1, you're not buying a "look", you're buying real speed.

The Smartwall tubes have variable wall thickness. They are done this way to create a tubeset that is at once strong, stiff, and brutally efficient, yet is also lightweight and not overly harsh over irregular track surfaces. The seattube has a cutout to allow your rear tire to tuck nicely in behind it, reducing frontal area and drag. It's set at a 73 degree angle, so it fits similarly to a road bike for endurance events. However, the dual position carbon fiber aero seat post allows you to quickly and easily morph the T1 into a formidable pursuit/time trial rig with a 76 degree seat angle. This kind of adaptability makes the T1 the best choice if you're interested in racing events of all kinds on the track. We're thinking…omnium. The front end is graced with Cervélo's DB Aero carbon fork. It's stiff and responsive, so when you ride high into turn four and come down hard on your rivals, your sprint won't be spent on a noodley under-engineered front end.

The Cervélo T1 Track Frameset comes in Red and is available in four sizes -- 51cm, 54cm, 56cm, and 58cm. It comes with an FSA Orbit IS integrated headset.
