We've quit counting the number of big-money time trials won on the Cervélo P3. You could put on a fashion show with all the yellow jerseys, arc en ciel World Champion jerseys, Olympic medals, and National Champion jerseys earned on it. From headtube to seatstays, every tube on the bike is sculpted to provide no-compromise aerodynamics and stiffness-to-weight qualities so vital to time trial gods like Dave Zabriskie and Fabian Cancellara.

Given the peerless design of the P3, it makes perfect sense that Cervélo released a small run of P3 Track framesets to bring the same technology to the velodrome. Cervélo engineered the P3 Track to excel at both pursuit and sprint events. The headtube is short enough for timed efforts, while you can install riser stem (such as the Deda Elementi Newton 86° stem) for mass-start and sprint events. The overall geometry and in particular the steering geometry is amenable to virtually every track race possible.

Cervélo understands that when you race on the track, no priority outweighs bottom bracket stiffness. Most other manufacturers have to beef up this stiffness by adding extra material (and therefore frame weight) to achieve this. Interestingly, the P3 Track BB shell is identical to the road version. so you won't be burdened with extra frame weight. Your accelerations will feel that much quicker -- a big plus for mass-start races where explosive efforts are required time and again. No better example of this exists than the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where Spaniard Joan Llaneras won Gold in the Points Race on his P3 Track, and the Silver was won by German Roger Kluge on his P3 Track.

The P3 Track comes with a two-position Cervélo carbon fiber aero seatpost that allows you to choose between a 75 degree and 78 degree seat angle. It also comes with a Cervélo Wolf TT aero carbon fiber fork, and a Cane Creek S2 integrated headset. It is available in 4 sizes between 51cm-58cm in a glossy Red with White decals.
