Few frames strum the heartstrings of steel frame devotees like the Pegoretti Luigino. Dario Pegoretti scours the earth in search of 70's and 80's era Campagnolo dropouts and fork tips in order to build a bike that properly pays homage to his favorite builders of those bygone days -- Luigino Milani and Mario Confente. One modern touch is that instead of sticking with the smaller diameter tubes of past decades, Pegoretti uses slightly oversized tubes to offer superior stiffness and responsiveness.

The most delightful detail of the Luigino is its double-plate crown steel fork. Forks with box-style crowns offer the ultimate responsiveness to rider input, and the Luigino's double-plate design is a marvel of modern machining. It brings the box crown to a new dimension of beauty.

The Luigino is made from Columbus Niobium Spirit steel and can be painted in any of Dario's 34 paint schemes at no added cost. Please note that due to their unique construction, Luigino orders have an average leadtime of 6 months.

The Luigino is available in 1cm increments between 48cm-62cm. It requires the use of a 1" threadless headset, an Italian bottom bracket, a 27.2mm seatpost, and a 28.6mm front derailleur.
