The Track Machine TRC 01 is a carbon/aluminum fusion that takes full advantage of the technology BMC developed with the Team Machine SLT 01. As you might recall, the Team Machine was the "A" bike used by Team Phonak for two seasons, and it proved to be a sprinter's delight -- most visibly under South African field sprint phenom Robbie Hunter.

The TRC 01 is built with the same Crosslock Skeleton design as the SLT 01. It combines shaped High Modulus T700 carbon fiber tubes with alloy lugs that are cold forged then finished with CNC machining. It's a design that accounts for the TRC 01's awesome stiffness under explosive power: The Skeleton system gives the frame rigid joints, shorter tube lengths, and more tube/lug overlap which maximizes surface area, thereby minimizing torsional flex. Given the TRC 01's stiffness attributes, it's an especially ideal choice for any mass-start race on the track or for timed sprint events.

Other notable details of the TRC 01 include the track-specific Firefork carbon fiber wishbone monocoque seatstay and chainstays. Not only does it add to the flex-resistance of the TRC 01, but it works hand-in-hand with the Scor full carbon track fork to minimize vibrations from track surface imperfections -- keeping your wheels on the track instead of bouncing up and down.

The TRC 01 comes standard with an FSA integrated 1-1/8" headset, an Easton EC70 carbon fiber seatpost, and a Scor full carbon track fork. It is available in one color -- a nude carbon with White paint and a Red and White decal package. It comes in odd sizes from 49cm-61cm. It has no drilling for brakes, no water bottle bosses, and no cable stops.
