The Streetfire SSX brings the crux of BMC frameset technology to an entry-level price point. Using CNC'd lugs and the exact same Crosslock Skeleton technology made famous by Floyd Landis and Team Phonak, the Streetfire provides a level of climbing and sprinting stiffness equal to that of any fat-tubed aluminum frame. But thanks to the innovative design behind its triple-butted Dedacciai 7003 tubeset, you won't end up with the harshness you feel all too often in most other full-aluminum frames. Its full-aluminum construction keeps the price low, but you can rest assured that you'll end up with a bike that rides with the sweetness of a frame costing twice as much.
The Streetfire is available in compact geometry in 4 sizes, and requires a 34.9mm front derailleur, a 31.6mm seatpost, and an English (68mm) bottom bracket. The frame with its full carbon Easton EC70 fork weighs in at 1.9kg.
