Ridley Noah RS/Shimano Ultegra 6700 Complete Bike - 2012 $0.00
Pro performance without the pro price tag.
Once you've shaved every gram, weighed your food for months on end, and spent countless hours on the trainer, the only way to get faster is to start cheating the wind. Deep wheels are a good start, but for true aerodynamic performance, you have to start at the heart of the bike -- the frame. Ridley's Noah RS benefits from the research and development efforts put into the flagship Noah, but with a few cuts here and there to keep the price sub-stratospheric. Where the Noah uses a blend of 50-, 40-, and 30-ton carbon fiber, the Noah RS makes use of 30 and 24-ton. This results in a slightly more flexible frame, but also a more compliant ride. Even with the lower-modulus carbon, the Noah RS seems to respond to every watt of power output. The handling characteristics are remarkable -- one of us compared it to a phenomenally powerful luxury sedan: smooth, intuitive, and faster than you realize. The Noah RS forgoes the integrated seat mast in favor of a full-length aero seat post. While we love a good integrated seat mast, the post makes it easy to change your position for a rougher course, or share the bike with someone. Ridley's R-Flow split fork draws turbulent air away from the spokes to reduce drag by about 5.5%. The R-Surface paint treatment chops another 3% off the drag figures. Internal cable routing makes the bike even sleeker. All of these factors add up to a bike that will be incredibly fast, and surprisingly comfortable.
- Full Shimano Ultegra gruppo provides consistent, precision shifting, and unmatched reliability
- Fulcrum Racing 5 wheelset is tough enough for training, and light enough for Wednesday Worlds
- Compact crankset and 11-25 rear cassette provide good gear ratios for all terrain
- Ridley and FSA cockpit components are lightweight and durable for season after season of performance

After considering other aero road-bikes like the Specialized Venge and and Felt AR series, discovered that the Noah RS complete build was the best combination of light-weight, quality components, and proven aerodynamics at a price-point that nobody else seems to be able to touch.
Many reviews (and even the product description for this bike) talk about how aero road bikes are a very specialized niche category, or how aero efficiency is the last thing a rider should concern him or herself with, but in reality, it is one of the primary forces to overcome in cycling.
Technology has just recently advanced to the point where strength, mechanical efficiency and also extreme aerodynamics can be offered in a light-weight package. With that, I expect more road bike designs to evolve toward more aerodynamic shapes and forms.
While the others catch up, the future is here, now, and I am really enjoying my new Noah RS.
In just two weeks and 500 miles of riding, I've set numerous personal records on it.
This bike does it all. It climbs, it accelerates, handles confidently, and, best of all, it is fast.
This is a great bike....
First carbon and love it. Ridley has made a fast bike that is comfortable. Get this bike, get fitted, and Bam you are flying down the road. Set up is snap with only minor adjustments needed. The derailleur needs adjustment but I have to practice my skills anyway. I paid 2,277.00 for this bad boy and it is worth every penny! Bravo
