Description

You can't be king just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

Forsake your noble quest of seeking out the samite-clad Lady of the Lake and those long-winded farcical aquatic ceremonies of hers, because strange women lying in ponds and distributing swords should never be the basis for a system of government. Who knew? Instead, cut straight to the chase by seizing the Ridley Excalibur RS Ultegra and fast-track your rightful claim to the podium throne. Featuring the same race-ready geometry as Ridley's flagship Helium (ridden with great success by the indefatigable Johnny Hoogerland and Team Vacansoleil), the Excalibur utilizes a blend of 30 and 24-ton high modulus carbon fiber weaves (as opposed to three weaves on the Helium), and swaps out the Helium's integrated seat mast for a FSA post. The resulting Excalibur frameset weighs only 150 grams more, without compromising the Helium's unequivocal stiffness-to-weight ratio. Combined with Ultegra shifters, cranks, and a drivetrain, the Excalibur rounds out the perfect racing or gran fondo build with which you may quickly establish your rule over the peasants of the peloton.

  • 4ZA Cirrus wheelset will stand up to high-mileage training rides, yet remains ready for you to bury the needle on race day
  • Curved, wafer-thin seat stays soften up rough cobblestones or gravel fire roads on your 'epic' rides
  • Carbon fiber dropouts and steerer tube shave excess weight

I really want to order is this bike, but I would like a standard crank instead of the supplied compact. Is that possible?
