Long Sleeve Jersey

There's a little bit of Breaking Away in all of us. Shaving legs, singing opera, peppering our conversation with Italian, drafting 18-wheelers while pedaling piano, it's part of the life ideal, no? Most every time we click into our pedals, there's a sparkle in our eyes, and Rossini playing on our internal soundtrack. On crisp fall days, we love to bust out the wool as part of this wakeful dream. Wool is light, warm, and looks sharp.

The Rapha Long Sleeve Jersey is as high-tech as any synthetic jersey, especially because it uses wool -- Sportwool to be specific. This souped-up yarn starts with the ultimate in old school jersey comfort, Merino wool at 40%, and then it consists of 60% polyester to make it wick, stretch, hold form, and wash better than traditional Merino. No more worries about care. Just treat it like any other cycling garment, but thanks to the wool, it can be worn several times between washings. This is also a cool-weather Sportwool, heavier than what's found in Rapha's summer jerseys.

The Long Sleeve Jersey has a full-length locking zipper that can be locked into place by flicking the pull tab down against your chest. There are the three standard rear pockets, though the outer two openings are cut on a slight bias to make access easier as you reach 'round for a quick snack on the move. The right side also has a built-in zip pocket, perfect for an iPod. The device's wires can be routed through a buttonhole and underneath the jersey up to the collar. There is also a hidden pump pocket in the middle pocket that keeps it from angling sideways across your back. The bottom hem is adjustable via two cord locks on an elastic cord stitched inside.

Rapha keeps the Long Sleeve Jersey simple with a band around the left bicep containing an embroidered Rapha logo. It's available in Blue/cream, Grey/cream, and Red/grey and comes in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.
