SRAM S975 BB30 Power Meter

If you're serious about competition, you've no better friend than a quality Powermeter system. The SRAM S975 BB30 Powermeter System is ready to kick your overpaid coach to the curb and help you get you the most out of your training. Offering the latest in Quarq technology, the S975 BB30 is all about efficiency. The S975 Powermeter System gives you the most accurate power readings on the market, without sacrificing a stitch of rigidity. Take your performance to the next level, and start training with power.

The SRAM S975 BB30 Powermeter System is Quarq's most sophisticated Powermeter system to date. The S975 features SRAM's integrated, unidirectional-carbon crankarms and Black RED chainrings. For a rigid attachment, the S975 uses a CNC-machined aluminum spider. The result is the holy grail of Powermeters-- a high-performance crankset that feels, looks, and acts like SRAM. You also maintain the hallmark weight savings of SRAM, with the complete Powermeter system weighing in at an ultra-light 884 grams. The S975 Powermeter System is extremely accurate, operating on the powerful ANT+ wireless system with an expressed accuracy of +/- 2%.

The S975 BB30 is available in either 110 or 130 BCD to accommodate compact or standard chainrings, respectively. The bottom bracket is not included.

Choosing the SRAM S975 Powermeter System provides you with several advantages over other systems. Our favorite one is that the S975 system is compatible with other 10- and 11-speed groupsets. Additionally, you can swap out the RED chainrings for Shimano, Rotor, SRAM and FSA Pro/Super Road chainrings. A game-changing perk is the ability to change the system battery yourself. Unlike SRM Powermeter systems that require you to mail in your crankset for battery swap-outs, the S975 Powermeter features a tool-less user replacement system as well as a predicted 400 hours of ride time per battery. This means more time in the saddle and no need for backup cranksets.

The SRAM S975 BB30 Powermeter System is compatible with various training software such as Training Peaks WKO+, Training Peaks, Golden Cheetah, and Strava. The S975 operates wirelessly with ANT+, and is being offered as a standalone item or with two CPU options to accurately sync with your cranks to track your data output.

The Garmin Edge 800 is the pinnacle of Garmin CPU technology. It's rugged and waterproof, and fully capable of handling road vibration and unexpected potholes. It comes with an aerodynamic low-profile mount that allows easy quarter-turn removal for when you want to sync up with Garmin Connect using a USB cable. The Edge 800 has full GPS capabilities with built-in Basemap technology for major roads and cities. Using BaseCamp software, you can create your own routes and view elevations from your home computer to upload to your Edge. Using Garmin Connect, the Edge 800 allows you to follow courses from other cyclists in your area and race them. Other key features of the Edge 800 include a barometric altimeter for exact climb, descent, and temperature data. You also get Virtual Partner, a function that provides a digital race partner against your real-time speeds and your goal speeds during a ride. The Edge 800 uses a full touch screen, and utilizes HotFix satellite prediction technology to calculate your position faster than any other CPU. It has an expected battery usage of 15 hours.

TheGarmin Edge 500 is sleek GPS cycling computer that's just as rugged as it is functional. Like the 800, it can take a hit and is waterproofed to IPX7 standards. The Edge 500 provides all of the pertinent information you need during a ride like distance, speed, location, climb and descent, and calories burned. All data is recorded for you to review with Garmin Connect.
