Sure, Prologo's Evo Nack saddle's carbon rails make for a an ultralight throne and some serious bike bling, but Prologo would steer you in another direction if you're looking to rock some rocks. For cyclocross or mountain biking, the company recommends the Prologo Nago Evo TS Saddle — and so do we.
This Nago's "TS" stands for Titanium Solid, which refers to the rails and their more durable nature without severely compromising weight. The saddle features the same innovations as its lighter cousin, including a featherweight carbon frame — the "skeleton" of the saddle that supports the foam and attaches to the rails. This is molded with varying densities so that vibration reduction is built-in, and so that the saddle flexes slightly under power. Multi-durometer foam is attached to the frame, with firm support beneath your hips and lighter, more forgiving foam at the mid-section, toward the nose. Speaking of which, if you need to scoot forward on the saddle, the microfiber cover features ridges that add just enough grip to hold you squarely and comfortably, while Prologo's Easy Stroke Design profile gives your legs more space to move for greater pedaling efficiency without sacrificing support.
The Prologo Nago Evo TS Saddle comes in 134mm and 141mm widths, measured across the widest part of the saddle. If you have broader hips, the wider model is going to suit you better. The saddle weighs approximately 226 grams and comes in three color schemes: Hard Black, Hard Black/white, and White/black.
