If cross-country racing feeds your soul, the Prologo Nago Evo X10 CPC Saddle was designed for you. It is Prologo's Nago Evo X10 taken to another level. The carbon fiber frame was designed with varying densities of material. Denser carbon was molded under the paddle (widest part), while less dense carbon was used in the midsection. This allows a slight flex to the frame under more sensitive areas, while providing ample support for the sit bones.
Working in conjunction with the frame, the EV-2 Active Density foam also provides varying levels of firmness from the back to the front of the saddle. The entire saddle rests on Nack rails. Unlike traditional carbon fiber rails, Nack is a composite of carbon and Kevlar with particles of aluminum added to increase strength at clamp points. This makes it lightweight as well as very durable.
The profile of the saddle is halfway between a round, endurance saddle and a flat, road competition model. The semi-round profile is comfortable for long endurance rides on the trails, while at the same time versatile enough for steep climbs and fast descents. The narrow shape and wide leg cutouts provide increased pedaling efficiency. The saddle was finished with a microfiber cover -- but that isn't all.
Prologo has taken its CPC (Connect Power Control) technology, and layered segments of CPC material on top of the microfiber from the paddle to the nose. This material is comprised of a series of volcano-like structures which, under weight, provide additional cushioning and a non-slip surface. Using this material on the Nago Evo X10 means that you stay put on the saddle, no matter what your position.
The Nago Evo X10 CPC Tirox Saddle is 135mm wide and is available in either Hard Black or White/black.
