Prolink ProGold 2000 Penetrating Lubricant is formulated for industrial, commercial, and marine applications where it outperforms and lasts longer than any other general purpose lubricant. Wherever rust, corrosion or "drag" is a problem, use PG2000 for maximum reduction of friction, heat and wear. It not only penetrates through extreme grime buildup, it also treats the metal surface with a polarized layer of oil molecules that reduces friction and wear and retards future corrosion. ProGold 2000 provides for the long-lasting, smooth operation of any metal mechanism. 12oz aerosol.

ProGold silk and shine

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I run Toguri Training, an indoor computraining facility with adjustable bikes. Each bike gets the equivalent of 8 years of use each season as we run classes all day. We have used ProGold chain lube for years to reduce wear and tear on the chainrings and cassettes. We used Finish Line products early on but the chains gummed up even when we used them sparingly... and then they needed constant attention. Finish Line is good stuff. ProGold is better IMO.

Smooth running drivetrain!

I use to use the bottle to put the lube on. It seems this spray can uses more, but it certainly gets the lube into the nooks and cranny of the chain where it counts. I just make sure that I lube it up the day before and wipe the excess off as best I can. The next day, it's good as gold!

Great lubricant! Just spray it on. Let it sit for a minute, then run a shop rag over the chain while moving the chain backwards to remove excess. Used this product for years on my road bike.
