Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a set of these on a spare set of wheels for my cross country bike. They perform well in dry conditions. I had a not so good experience after riding through a stream on a local trail. When pedaling out of the stream onto slick rocky surface there was absolutely no traction at all. The rear wheel simply spun and the front washed out. Definitely for complete dry conditions or tacky dirt. From my experince, these will not perform well in any slick conditions.

Very good bike but not my favorite

Pivot did a fantastic job with the suspension on the Mach 6. I'm glad to see that they changed the cable routing with the newest version. The routing on the Mach 6 was annoying. After receiving the new bike, I immediately had issues with all of the rubberized leather frame protectors peeling off. BC/CC wouldn't do anything about it. This, along with the cables rubbing calves and snagging on knee pads when the rear suspension was compressed lead me to replace the bike with a SC Nomad (I love the Nomad). The Mach 6 geometry and suspension are great. Just couldn't stand the cable routing and the peeling frame protectors on a brand new $3,000 frame.

Great set of wheels! It wasn't easy to get the maxxis tires on them but I'm very happy with this purchase! Thought about getting the ENVE but I don't like the internal nipples on the ENVE wheels. PITA to true them. Very confidence inspiring wheels! You'll feel like to can smash into anything!

Very good cross country bike! After purchasing the Enduro build, I upgraded almost every component, including the entire drivetrain, wheels, tires, stem, bars and seatpost. I still have not upgraded the brakes but I plan to. I'm not a fan of the Guide R brakes. I also purchased a 130mm Pike to try out on the front but have't had time to do the swap yet. The complete bike weight with pedals is right at 24 lbs. For a 29er, this is a great bike. This replaced a 2014 Yeti ARC Carbon that I rode on cross country trails last year. It's a few pounds heavier than the Yeti ARC but the ARC was very sketchy when descending at high speed on rough terrain. Having the rear suspension eliminates that. If you're looking for a light weight cross country 29er then this is a great option.

New Favorite Bike!

Last year, my Bike Park ride was a Yeti SB66C which is a fantastic bike but I was ready to try out something with a more current suspension design. I started out the 2015 season on a very nice Pivot Mach 6 but swapped it for the Santa Cruz Nomad mid-season to get the slacker head tube angle and steeper seat tube. I definitely made the right choice by moving to the Nomad! I love the bike and absolutely love having a threaded BB again! The geometry and suspension on the Nomad is perfect for my style of riding. Thank you Santa Cruz!

I'm surprised at how well these have held up. I've used them for an entire year now and wash them a lot. I generally wash them after every ride and let them hang to dry. I recently purchased a second set, assuming I may need them but the old ones are still in near perfect condition. I'm impressed, considering the low price.
