I have these with the FRC jersey as my favorite kit for long rides. the shorts fit well and are on par with other high end offerings for castelli and the like. I am 6'2" 180 and i have a size L, i tend to wear L in most Euro shorts/bibs and XL in jerseys. The only complaint i have is that the cut is a bit long, i prefer a shorter short, most castelli's are about an inch shorter in the leg, so i will probably go back to those bibs, absolutely a personal preference. Overall a great short, highly reccomended
great fit (again, its a euro brand and high end so its tight!) can carry tons of food and bottles in the pockets without bouncing or discomfort, and very good air flow. Highly reccomend this product. I am 6'2" 180#, (42L jacket size) the fit of the XL is a second skin but not restrictive.
If you want a gore wind stopper thin fleece vest buy this, its really high quality fit (Areo/Euro cut), materials and carftmanship. As others have said, and along the line of all castelli stuff, it is a snug fit so be expecting it, i am 6'2" and 180# and the XL is perfect, like a glove.
I wanted more of a packable wind vest so i am sending it back and getting the compatto which seems more what i am looking for. This is a bit heafty for a jersey pocket if the temperature rises. Feels very warm and windproof, I suggest reading the description on the castelli website prior to ordering, as it describest the materials a bit better.
I have the FRC shorts and short sleeve jersey which i am thrilled with in every way, including fit, so this was a natural purchase. Hi am however very disappointed with this jersey, perhaps a got a one off bad jersey, not really sure. In any case, it is on its way back as the fit could not be worse. the materials and craftmanship are great. Details on the fit... I am 6'2" and 180#: The jersey is very tight in the chest, much tighter than the "areo" fit of the shortsleeve jersey, and loose in the stomach. The cut is such that there is almost an inch between the bottom of the jersey and the start of my bibs, its a "belly" shirt, again much different than the bike specific fit of the short sleeve FRG Jersey. The upper arm is restrictively tight while the forearm is baggy.
In summary if you have a narrow chest, with a gut and popeye forearms this is the perfect fit, otherwise, might not be a great selection.
