Pivot hit this one out of the Park!
5 5

What an amazing bike! I just recently had the opportunity of picking one of these up and I must say I am most impressed. I had the standard 429 last year and loved the geo and the ride quality but it was a bit heavy. I was delighted to see that Pivot found a way to knock of 1/2 pound of weight and stiffen the frame on the new out a bit on the new 429 SL. SO MUCH BETTER. The bike already handled fantastic but now with a little stiffer/lighter frame its super playful and you can really hammer the power and it gives as much as you give it! Fast and Fun sums it up. If you are looking for a light weight XC- Epic ride type bike then look no further.

Feel free to hit me up with questions or comments or if you need direction on configuration. My direct contact info is wbranham@competitivecyclist.com or 801-736-6396 x 4074.

Amazing!

I recently had the very fortunate opportunity of riding this bike for a couple of hours down in Moab and I must say I was extremely impressed. So impressed that I bought one. i felt the bike handled very well over lots of varied terrain. It definitely excels in climbing and this is largly due to the single pivot design working in conjunction with the CTD rear shock making for a very stable suspension platform. Its also light as hell, weighing in at just 23.1 pounds. Lightweight and nimble. Definitely the best XC 29r Ive been on and I highly recommend it if you have the means.

This is one of the better high end road bikes we offer. Extremely well rounded and comfortable it lacks for nothing. These are custom builds so components and be changed or swapped. If you need guidance I would be happy to help. Contact me direct at 801-736-6396 x 4074 or email wbranham@competitivecyclist.com.

so much fun!
5 5

i recently had the opportunity of riding this bike in Moab and had an absolute blast! Ive been on fatbikes in the past and found them to be heavy and sluggish-but not this bike. The bike comes in around 28.5 lbs and was extremely agile on the trail and the more traditional mtn bike geometry made the bike feel very balanced and at times I forgot i was on a fatbike. The frame is just stiff enough to allow impressive handling in spite of the big tires. The nicest feature of the bike is the Rockshox Bluto fork. its lightweight, simple to use and really expands the abilities of the bike allowing you to take it places you have only dreamed about on a fatbike. It actually feels like it has 5-6 inches of travel allowing you to maneuver over the trickest terrain with ease. Probably the coolest feature of the bike is its ability to run a 29+ wheelset (available through Borealis). it makes the bike very versatile allowing you to swap out the wheels for a skinnier version for the hot,dry summer months and swap back to the fat wheels for the mud and snow season. It like having 2 bikes! so to sum it up this bike is an absolute blast to ride and highly recommended. It sure kept a smile on my face :)

If you have any questions about the bike feel free to contact me direct. My email address is wbranham@competitivecyclist.com or 801-736-6396 x 4074.
I can order the 29+ wheels as well.

he Tallboy has been one of our best selling bikes over the last few years, and for good reason. There are still plenty of people who believe 29rs are the best practical XC bikes. Ive had been on the Tallboy several times and love the ride quality and geometry of this bike. It has a very nice, balanced geometry which allows it to feel well grounded on the trail without feeling too squirlish. It performs really nicely on climbs as it is light weight and agile and also allows you to rip it going down hill. Whether going up or down the bike is a great choice for an all around XC bike that you can certainly race with and also do longer epic rides for just fun.

If you have specific questions or need help configuring it shoot me an email at wbranham@competitivecyclist.com

I had the opportunity of riding this bike several times and I must say I love the ride quality. The downfall of a lot of all mountain bikes is that they can be cumbersome-especially when it comes to climbing. Not this mountain goat! It climbs the stairway to heaven as well as it bombs down hill. This is largely due to the lighter frame and slack angles. Definitely an all day bike. Comparing it to the Bronson its a no brainer on which cream rises to the top. I would highly recommend this bike and its sure to make you an enduro winning machine!

If you have specific questions on the bike feel free to reach out to me direct at 801-736-6396 x 4074 or wbranham@competitivecyclist.com

The Phat fat bike!

I had the opportunity to ride this bike at Outerbike in Moab this year and had an absolute blast on it. The bike was so light weight and agile i totally forgot i was riding a rigid fatbike. If you are in the market for something to ride over the winter months in the snow or in the sand this is definitely the fatbike to get!

Working in the industry I have had the opportunity to test ride a lot of bikes and this is my favorite 27.5. I found the bike to be stiff and lightweight and a very good climber. It also performs extremely well over loose terrain and really cornered superbly in tight singletrack. The strongest atribute of this bike is its downhill ability which allows you to keep pushing your limits with the feeling of soaring like an eagle. Whether you are an east coast, hardpacked, twisty sigletrack rider or a dusty,uphill/downhill west coast bomber this bike offers a wide range of abilities that will keep you motivated and smiling all the way. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up

amazing value

This is one of the best all-around performing bikes we offer. A 1,050-gram monocoque frame with asymmetric chainstays aids in power transfer, while a semi-integrated seat mast and formed, angular tube profiles provide lateral stiffness. The bike's ProTour geometry tilts the GTS more toward the racy end of the performance/comfort spectrum, and with a carbon fork the bike is perfectly capable of serving up equal heapings of speed and distance for riders willing to give as much as they get.The bike is super comfortable for long rides and excels in areas where the roads are rough and coarse. I just recently sent one to my Sister in Kauai and she was in awe of the buttery smoothness and performance on the sketchy roads in Hawaii.if you have the means i highly recommend picking one up.

Feel free to contact me direct for questions or comments. I can always throw in a little something if you would like to place an order.

This is one of the better long travel bikes to come out in a long time.I had the opportunity of riding it at Outerbike last fall and was very impressed. Its designed for the casual trail riders to the enduro racers who are looking to assault the trail both up and down.
The frame is made with a hollow box, high compression internal molding process which creates very dense frame walls and allows the bike to take impacts but is laterally stiff and lightweight.
The pedaling on the bike I found to be very efficient. Its a combo of the updated DW-Link rear suspension, the updated upper link shock mount and the Fox Float X shock ( a sweet combo). It gives the bike cross cross county like efficiency and smoothness.
The DW Link provides an awesome platform for climbing-no pedal bob and anti squat. Its probably the best long travel climber I've tried.
On cornering the bike performed very well. The combo of the short rear end and the slack front end gave the bike a very balanced feel and allows for very quick 180 degree turns.
Pivot took everything we look for in a fun, aggressive trail bike and magnified it in a big way. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up before they are gone!
