I'm much more conscious of sun protection for outdoor riding, but I picked this up on sale for spin class and took it out for it's first spin, so to speak, yesterday. Very cute top (I bought the black/white/red). I like the red contrast piping and the little design down near the hem. Subtle. The mesh inner bra provides no real support, so keep that in mind if you need support. This is not a snug tank - it does not hug you all around - it's designed to be looser fitting on the sides and back than my other tanks. All in all, if you don't need support for the girls, a cute and comfortable alternative to body hugging tanks.
This is a gorgeous jersey - the fabric feels amazing on, the ruching is extremely flattering, it's simple, but elegant...but man, is it snug. I ordered the M, expecting it to be snug in the chest but when it came, I was worried about being able to zip it at all when I first put it on. Fortunately, it is extremely stretchy and once I got it zipped, it is comfortable on - the sleeves and shoulders are fine for movement. But, it's definitely a race fit, not a club fit, so be aware.
I think I have finally found a summer weight knickers that meet all my requirements. I have tried multiple pairs of knickers trying to find the ultimate pair for hot weather. I need sun protection and just cannot wear shorts in hot sun any longer.
I've felt a little like Goldilocks testing knickers...these are too hot, these are to heavy, these have an uncomfortable chamois....
Well, my Hincapie performance knickers came today. The fabric feels great, although I have not put it through it's paces in 100+ Texas summer temps yet, but I have been looking for Coldblack bottoms to help keep me cool(er) and SPF 50 for sun protection. I love the mesh behind the knees - that seemed to be where other knickers fall short in hot summer weather. The chamois is comfortable. I like the flat waistband. My only knock on them is that I ordered a large based on the sizing chart, but could actually wear a medium based on how they fit in the waist. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs just for comparison.
These knickers are super comfy - love the way Capo does the V in the waistband. Great chamois too. They are a very heavy fabric/lining - will be great for cold weather riding. I was initially looking for a warm weather knicker, but I'm keeping these for winter.
I've been searching for a knicker length bottom for hot weather riding. It's scorching heat in Texas this time of year and shorts just don't give me enough sun protection. Anyway, I ordered these because the description had the magic words about "breathability and moisture management." So, I tested them out over 50 miles this weekend on a 100+ temp day and the verdict was good - they passed all my tests. I own lots of different makes/models of knickers now and I think these are the stretchiest and lightest feeling of them all. Very comfortable and worked well (as did the Zero RH+ jersey I was wearing) at wicking moisture. I initially thought the chamois felt bulky when I first put them on and it does feel a bulky just walking around in the knickers, but in the saddle, it was fine. I'll be packing these for a 77-mile Tahoe ride soon, they were that comfy on the bike. I did not find them small - I would say they fit true to size.
Like the Craft arm coolers, I am 100% sold on this Craft cycling bra. For summer, I won't wear anything else. The venting is that good. The band fits snug, but the band and straps stay in place and you don't have to worry about them. I love this bra and recommend it to all my female cycling buddies. And, the hot pink one is really pretty too.
After having melanoma, I am very conscious of how much sun exposure I am getting cycling. Plus, I ride in Texas, where it's just flat out miserably hot in summer.
I tested these out on a big 49 mile charity ride ride the weekend before last. While I bought them for sun protection, I was skeptical of whether they would keep me cooler. I am now a 100% convert.
They work best if you squirt water on them to wet them as you ride - but if you do that, they really do make a huge difference.
I was literally telling people about them at every rest stop and at the finish line. I came home and ordered more. I will not ride in Texas summer heat without them anymore. I now have both the white and pink and I returned another well known brand's arm coolers after wearing these - these are SO MUCH LIGHTER and MORE COMFORTABLE to wear!
Craft, please make the same thing to protect your legs from sun exposure! Pretty please!
I'm 5'6, 140 lbs - a small fits me perfectly.
The lime green is vibrant and fun and the graphic design looks great. The fabric feels very nice on. Haven't put it through the paces on a long, hot ride yet to test the breathability/wicking, but it is a well made and nicely featured jersey (like the mesh insert in the back). It fits quite snug. I am a 38 bust, so I ordered the medium, per the sizing chart. It is definitely not a relaxed fit jersey - either in the shoulders/sleeves or torso (which is fine with me), but if you want a relaxed fit, consider sizing up.
ETA: I've worn this jersey 2-3 times now in hot weather and it performs quite well in high temps. My only knock is that the sleeves are a little bit shorter than other jerseys I have and I can end up with a little gap when paired with the Craft arm coolers for sun protection.
