I have seen mixed info on whether this chain works with Shimano dura ace 7800 10sp crankset, derailleur. I need to replace my old 7800 12-25 cassette and dura ace chain and was going to purchase the 7901 chain and pair it with a 12-27 7900 casette. Would that work/be compatible?
I had been wearing a Giro helmet for a number of years (probably too long 5+ yrs) so I definitely needed a new one. Realcyclist put the Louis Garneau Diamond on sale and I decided to get it. I have not been disappointed: It fits my head perfectly with the Spiderlock retention system (ie. fits true to size according to head measurements), it is comfortable on long rides of 4+ hours and easily provides as much ventilation as my previous Giro helmet. It also appears to be constructed well to protect your head. Bottom line: it does its job well.
If you don't have the $ for wind tunnel testing and expensive aero wheels, then your best option for improving aerodynamics is to buy a helmet like this one. (I am assuming most people already have a good bike fit.) All the data out there shows that the cheapest way to cut through the wind is to buy an aero helmet. You have many options to choose from these days, but for comfort and extra speed in hot summer triathlons, the Giro Advantage 2 is tough to beat.
From morning long runs to sunny four hour road rides, these sunglasses provide the right lenses no matter what the conditions you may face. I also like them because the frames are light weight and lenses not too large. I have done everything from trail runs to triathlons with them and they haven't fallen off my face because of too much sweat or movement. I am happy with my purchase!
If you do a lot of indoor riding on rollers or trainer AND work up a sweat, then you would find this useful. Otherwise, don't bother. I think its pricey because as an alternative, you can grab a small towel and some tape to cover the top tube. I have never used the accessories pouch.
I use these on my road bike and they work great. They are priced right and I haven't noticed any weight difference from my old continental tubes.
There is no comparison between shorts and bibs. Bibs are much more comfortable. Second, the Laser has an excellent fit and pad. This just means one less thing to worry about on a long ride. For sizing, go up at least 1 size.
