Took a crash the first time I wore it (not the worst crash, but went down hard going over an obstacle). It seems to provide protection where it is suppose to. However, still suffered some injury in the belly, because there is no protection there. Easy on and off and is comfortable on. I was worried it would be too constricting, but wearing it actually feels good in that it gives you a nice tight/protected feeling. For the price I recommend if looking for minimal upper body protection.
Ok shorts. I suppose these being "liner" shorts there is going to be minimal protection. Will provide enough protection if you just tip over, but I still have much pain if I take a hard fall. Also, the area between the legs could have better pad protection. Bought primarily for the Fox brand and being satisfied with the leg guards. But if it is protection you are looking for, I would look at something else.
These are pretty good. Do slide down a bit after wearing for a while, but have provided the need protection. Comfortable to wear, but rubs and leaves a mark near the top of the knee. Overall, worth buying.
