The DT Swiss 10 mm Thru Bolt Skewer has been a great help in securing the rear wheel on my Santa Cruz Butcher frame compared to the old 10mm qr. The spring loaded mechanism is great! I am able to put the lever in exactly the position I want with very little effort and creates the correct bearing preload every time.
wilier and backcountry did a great job with this frame. super stiff under power but still accomplishes to reduce road/trail vibration better than any cross bike i've owned in the past. also appreciate the use of a standard threaded bb. 6'5" riding an xxl frame
sizing on these frames seem to run a bit big. 5'8" on a 53...normally would ride a 55
much easier to secure front wheel than with traditional quick release skewer. no fumbling with lever position or tension
there are a number of nice touches. mode converter for 2/3 ring setup, removable gear indicator, crisp indexing and 2 way release.
