Both of my 2 wheelsets arrived perfectly true and tight, and have never given me any trouble. I have a pair from 2010, and a pair from 2012. One set is on my Tarmac Pro, the other on my GF's Allez.
Certainly not the lightest, but we are not racing...
I cannot breath though it when my mouth or nose is covered, like I can with my PI balaclava. Because no air can pass thorough when I exhale the warm air vents out the sides and onto my sun glasses, which of course steams them up.
The neck cover is a nice touch, and it is warm -- and if you wear it with a light bandana you can breath though, you can keep warm.
Apparently this is a problem with any super warm balaclava - I was just looking for a bit more ear warmth.
These gloves have proven not to be warm enough much below 38 F. I was using them today at 34~35 F and my fingers were numb in about an hour. Adding Hincapie glove liners helped a little, but these gloves are not keeping me warm enough when the temp approaches freezing.
Sadly I will have to go back to my ENORMOUS PI gloves and look like the Michelin Man on wheels.
The gloves are nice in the range of 38 - 45, but at the high end of that range they are actually too warm. I will continue to carry these gloves, liners, and the heavy pair. Winter riding is always a lot of take off as one warms, but I hate cold fingers.
