These are my favorite gloves. I have two pairs. Minimalist design, no gels and obtrusive padding. The loop feature works great. After washing never had any problems with stitching coming undone etc. but then again I don't handle or wear them with agression. $9 for a pair is a steal.
Easy to mount, not overly expensive, good control and acceleration, smooth ride. First 100 miles got a 3 mm horizontal cut on front tire. Holds pressure well. Solid construction overall. Comparatively this tire was flat free about as long as Tufo S3 Lite. I was expecting a little more puncture resistance with the Conti and was disappointed. Overall prefer it's handling characteristics over S3 Lite however the latter rode faster. Concerning flats I had better success with Tufo S33 Special and Tufo Hi-C although both tires ride slower for me over Conti and S3. I'll probably buy again depending on how successful the repair process goes. I may have to send this one to Tire Alert in Florida, I hope they're still in business - their web-site seems to be down.
According to size chart I should wear XXL but after reading other reviews decided on XL which turned out a good training fit but not race fit. In warm weather it ventilates well, back pockets are generous. On night rides clipping on Ravx tail-light in the middle pocket is problematic - the fabric is too thin for the clipper to stay in place. When fully zipped the photo with the marked arrow shows the area of the jersey with a tendency to bunch up. I have tighter fitting jerseys from Bellwether and Pearl Izumi which don't have this issue. Despite of these issues, I still think it's good value. The photo shows a different model jersey from Giordana, probably more expensive but the fabric bunches up in the middle of the chest area and the guy is not even riding! Next time I'll be looking at other brands.
These have minimal padding which works perfect for me. I wore them for couple of hundred miles so far - no problems with things falling apart. I'm careful with the finger loops which are very handy but seem somewhat fragile. During ride they provide plenty feedback from the road and the cushioning effect is not overdone. The nose wipe works well. I'll buy Castelli again.
Excellent product - well made. I wear US shoe-size 10 or 10.5. From previous comments I went with size S/M and it turned out a perfect fit. During training rides above 80 F, these socks ventilate the mid-sole region. Previously I was wearing thin running socks from Nike, etc. where heat build-up was a problem. Castelli products have good form and style designed for cycling. So far I have two pairs of these and wear a Castelli fingerless glove with minimal padding - so far I'm getting great results.
I purchased the white sock with black logo or lettering and received a pair with red logo - had to send it back. This was my 2nd pair since I purchased recently another pair of Castelli Rosso 6. They stay cool riding in warm weather - currently in the 80's.
