I use these to run rugged trails- excellent traction even on super dry terrain where a lot of other sneakers will have you sliding around. I don't love the insole as the arches feel excessively high. While the Salomon lace system boasts an "even tightening technology" I find that the laces tend to get uncomfortably tighter near the top (toward the ankle) of the show. That being said, none of these things have been so bad as to keep me from using these as my trail running shoes. Fit is otherwise true to size- I wear size 8 for Asics, 7.5 for K-swiss, and have a 7.5 for these shoes (worn with thin socks). I run about 40-50 miles a week (more during race season).
