Awesome socks. Comfortable, no ridges, wick nicely, and best of all, they haven't shrunk! Pricey, but seem to be worth it.
An OK headband. Slim, so it fits beneath my helmet. But it doesn't absorb as much sweat as others, like the Halo sweatbands, and so sweat eventually drips in your eyes.
One of my favorite jerseys. I'm 5'9", 165 lbs, 40" chest and the Large fits perfectly. This is my new go-to jersey, very comfortable. I love the zipper since I can open it with one hand. Now all my jerseys must have this feature....no more 1/4 zip jerseys for me!
Love these socks, most comfortable socks I own. But they seemed to shrink significantly. When I first bought them, these fit snug. Now they are really really tight. I bought a Large (size 44 shoes), but may have to size up..
This is my 2nd favorite jersey. It is more form-fitting than the Capo Verona, and I had to go up one size compared to what I normally wear. I'm 5' 9", 163 lbs, 41" chest, and I wear an XL in this jersey. Large in the Capo. The arms on the Castelli are snug, no flapping at all, and seal nicely at the wrists. Great zipper, and it looks awesome. Not as warm as the Capo, but it is lighter.
Terrific jersey. I wear this from the mid 50s to 65 degrees or so. I'm 5' 9", 163lbs, 41" chest, and the Large is a terrific fit. Wrists are not as close-fitting as the Castelli Agnel jersey, but this one is warmer. Love the zipper, and the red is BRIGHT.
These tights are terrific. They are warm and really stop the wind. Any time the temps drop below 50 degrees, I put these on. Chamois is good for many miles. Shoulder straps don't dig in, and the quality seems top notch. I'm 5' 9", 165 lbs, and the Large fits fine. Medium was way too tight. Legs are a little long, but that was expected. Net: I'd buy these again...
These are my first pair of Castelli bib tights. I have a pair of knickers that I love, and the bib tights are even better because of the pad. The Progetto X2 chamois kicks butt! lol Better than their KISS pad, and on par with my high-end Assos pad. I just wish I could get a pair of bib shorts with this pad at a reasonable price AND leg grippers. :-) Overall, I would buy another of these if I needed more...
Do these bib shorts have leg grippers? I have the Castelli Endurance bib shorts, and find that they ride up without silicone grippers. In fact, if the "Castelli" silcone logos on the outside leg hem of the Endurance shorts were on the inside, they'd be perfect. What about the Body Paint?
I replaced a pair of Sidi Genius 5 Pros with these DMT Radials. Reason: the Radial is available with a Speedplay sole. With my Sidi's, I had to use an adapter plate, which raises the stack height quite a bit. Size-wise, the DMT Radials in size 44 are slightly larger than size 44 Sidi's. I was able to use a Superfeet insole, and thicker socks. The size 43.5 DMT was too tight. I go back and forth between the DMTs and the Sidis, and I have to say I like the fit of the DMTs better. And I have to use only one wedge under the cleat with the DMT.
Quality/fit/finish of the Sidis seems better, and I miss the ratchet buckle, but the DMTs are comfortable and much lighter than the Sidis. And they also let much more air flow thru, which is nice for those hot summer rides. I do wish they came in black....
One other thing: If I had waited another month or so, I could have purchased Sidis with a Speedplay sole. They are announcing in September.
Also: Tremendous service from Realcyclist. I ordered both size 43.5 and size 44. Sent the 43.5s back, very easy, and terrific response from Realcyclist. I'll keep buying from them due to their terrific customer service. Thanks guys.
