I ordered some of these, got them last week, opened the box and discovered that the expiration date on these is less than a month away. I'm glad I didn't order more than one box.
Earlier I wrote a review about how these shorts bunched up at the inner thigh. It was true -- I wore them on a ride and they rode up drastically and constantly. But I had a revelation recently: my saddle fit was totally wrong. I was riding on too wide a saddle. I just went for a ride in these shorts in a much better fitting saddle and I have to say, they were really comfortable. Despite the lack of leg grippers, there was no riding up. The fabric is really light weight. It feels really nice in this awful Florida July humidity. The chamois isn't too bulky and is padded in the areas that count.
I am normally a size small, and the small in these shorts fits correctly. (I'm 5'7, 125lbs) These shorts don't provide a lot of support -- as I stated before the fabric is a lighter weight. I like this, as most of the other shorts I have are almost too constricting. The leg and waist openings are not too elasticized, eliminating any risk of discomfort or muffin-toppage in either area.
Over all, these shorts are really comfortable. I have them in black and white and they are really cute.
If my earlier review steered you away from buying these, I think you should reconsider.
