Here's what others have to say...

The shorts themselves are very nice and comfortable. I wear mine as trail and DH shorts. The back area get a little steamy from waterproof panel but not too bad. The fit is on the baggy side but I like that. Problem is with the stitching everywhere. The stitching is coming out in various areas and the inside liner is pretty fragile.

Have a pair of these gloves but a few years old and really like them. These are even nicer. The knuckle section is covered in real leather and isn't stitched to the glove (side closest to the wrist) which give more freedom of movement. The material in between the fingers is a mesh which is very breathable. The palm material seems a bit thinner than previous year models but took a had spill in them and still held up. Sizing seemed true to size as I wear a XL in most gloves, but for comparison I would wear a XXl in Fox Unabomber.

I really like the fit of these shorts. They have the right amount of stretch and looseness for knee pads. The side adjusters are nice and easy to work with and the pockets are great. The zipper is short so a bit tough to slide on but once they are on they are very comfortable. Construction is very high quality and they look good. Only issue is that the zipper when up rubs my gut but if your skinny then it shouldn't be an issue. As far as size goes I would say that the XL is comparable to others XL/38 sizes, so for size I would go by that rather than the high numbers that are listed. Wish they had different colors so that I could order another pair.

As always with Troy Lee these shorts are well made and well thought out. They are what DH shorts should be. I found they run small and slim. Ususally wear a 37/38 waist shorts and these fit smaller than 36 waist shorts that I have. They also are a bit more fitted in the thighs and hip area. Not a issue for thinner riders but if you have man thighs like me and like burgers then these might not work.

The quality of these shorts is very high and I was impressed. The fit is very nice for a DH short. They look great and were pretty comfortable. The stretch panels weren't very stretchy. The straps on the shorts were nice and appreciated the high waist in the back. Just were a bit to hot for me to ride in and the vents did not vent well for me. Length were just below knee for me at 5'11".

The outer shorts are decent but the liners are pretty cheap for $150. Outter shorts are baggy and long. There is no mesh liner on the outer shorts and the material seems a bit whimpy for Dh shorts. The front pockets are almost useless, they are very shallow and oddly placed in the front of the short.

The construction and quality of the shorts seems to be of high quality but I did not like the fit. I found these to restrict movement quite a bit and the rear stretch panel didn't help much. The fit was loose but shorts could use some stretch panels in the legs or crotch. The chamois were pretty weak. They had a shorter than normal inseam and the pad looked pretty lame.

Socks hold up ok. My gripe with them is that they stretch out so much that dirt gets in the fabric and then i have a bunch of dirt in my sock.
