I was told to get these by a friend and i see why. They are awesome. I rode in 37 degrees and no problem at all. They are easy to slip on over your shoes and don't shift. If you are not thinking of your feet during a cold ride, then you know you have the right cover. I don't know about rain with them but they do seem quite durable so far. The right choice for shoecovers.
These too are my first knickers and they are great. Very comfortable, did a 65 miler, 47 degrees, first time wearing them and no problems whatsoever. Warm and fit well- I am 5'10", 145 lbs and the large fit perfect. Even has fleece up the straps. Very wind resistent. Price is a bargain!
I rode 3000 miles over 5 months on these on all types of roads, pot holes, repairs etc, and nothing stops them. I don't race but I ride hard and these can take anything I throw at them. Extremley durable. You can find lighter tires, yes, but not more durable. Hang tough on curves with speed. They are easy to slip on too, no tire lever needed. The money is well spent on these.
I have actually found these to be more comfortable than the Endurance shorts - the padding is much less bulky than the Endurance yet still very comfortable and that's after 2500 miles this summer.
Like another reviewer, these came stock on my bike. Very durable and seem to stay true but these are coming off for my fast group rides, etc. They are very heavy wheels and obviously that is a factor to consider. I do training on them and then switch out to my Easton EA SLX's. Huge difference.
For the money, these are great shorts and I'll tell you why- I took a pretty serious fall last summer. I slammed down on my right side and torn everything up- except the shorts. I tore my skin up UNDER the shorts but not the shorts themselves. Now that's amazing amazing material. Very impressive.
