I will say that moisture management in the saddle area is better on the free bib. Just being nit picky and trying to help other buyers. These are still a better short overall!

True to size as a large fits great. This base layer has been a go to on every ride now. It makes riding more comfortable, my bibs shoulder straps don't stick and dig in as much and moisture management is stellar. I highly recommend adding a few of these to your riding wear.
Rider Info: 6'1" 175-180 lbs. Wearing a size large in these shorts and the free bibs.
I will mimic a few noted items from reviews previous. Seem a tad smaller than the free bibs from 09 which I really liked as well and the shoulder straps are not a comfy as the free bibs, not bad at all though. The smaller size actually works better for me though as the seat area of the bib is nice and snug reducing some of the stretching that can happen on long rides. The leg length is also a bit shorter than the free bib. As far as the pad goes, it is absolutely killer. I have a tendency to get saddle sores and honestly this pad has virtually eliminated them!!! The biggest con of these shorts is that I had to buy 4 pair because it made my other shorts less inviting to wear!!!
