Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is a comfortable pair of shoes and I have used them extensively (35+ races) for the past two seasons in Cyclocross. I got the high volume version in a half size larger than what I wear in Sidi and the length is good, although there is a lot of volume there, even with my Superfeet inserts. I have to crank the ratchet all the way down to get a snug fit across my ankle. The shoes are comfortable for running and pedaling and with the addition of a shoe shield between the sole and the cleat, I have no problems clicking in with my Crank Bros. pedals. My major gripe is that the mesh on the top of the shoe near the toe leather has started to rip. I had a pair of Shimano MTB shoes for over a decade before this and had no mesh tears. Also, the ratchet on both shoes is starting to give me problems, so it may be wearing out.
