These shoes are super comfortable. They look like skate shoes, but have a rigid sole to keep your feet from getting weary. You can walk around with crank bros cleats and they don't click and scrape while you walk on flat ground, you can drive in them too. I got them in early winter and they are warmer than my specialized shoes which are made with a lot of venting. we'll see if that's a bad thing in the Utah summer.
The best thing about these shoes is that with my acid pedals, they click in easy and the shoe tread contacts the rest of of the pedal body giving you a larger platform that you can feel so they don't have that "tippy toe" feeling like if you were riding on egg beater pedals. you can feel connected to the platform as well. I bet these would work great with any hybrid clip/flat pedals like the new XT trail or CB mallets and of course my Acids.
I initially wanted this helmet for more coverage and protection, plus I liked the looks of it. After the first ride I thought about it and couldn't remember noticing the helmet at all. I would have to say it's so comfortable that it disappears from the riding experience. Second ride same thing, it just feels like nothings there so it's not too heavy or hot or "too anything". I would recommend this helmet to any trail rider, cross country or any riding until you need a full face. The look is growing on me each time I wear it. it alsocomes with a cloth storage bag so if you don't wreck, it will stay new looking longer than bouncing around in the back of your car or truck.
