Purchased a pair for winter riding. I've been using them for some time now and the glove performed as expected. I consider myself having large hands, but I also find Castelli sizing chart one size too small. XXL fits me perfect. Keeping your extremities warm is a highly personal matter. I generally, do not get cold in my hands (although my toes are always cold despite winter shoes, wool socks or neoporine covers), so the gloves keep me reasonably warm in 28-30 F (plus NY wind chill factor). However, I also find Castelli products about 10F too warm compared to their product recommendation guide. All in all, great glove, for $35 can't go wrong.
It would appear to be a nice quality fabric. A bit too tight around thighs, but larger size would probably be too much. The product description says that there is a concealed back pocket - it doesn't exist, there is no pocket, total misinformation.
Nice vest. Very light, compact and indeed wind proof. Sizing is always a gamble. I am about 195 pounds/5.11 height. I tried all sizes from XXL to L, but ended up keeping XL. However, I am XXL in Castelli bibs. My only complain is that the vest does not have back pockets, so you ended up stuffing your under jersey pockets which is not super comfortable but manageable. Use it in the early fall with a pair of arm warmers when using long sleeve jersey is an overkill. Great flexibility.
