These rock! Just used them in an enduro race in an all day rain. My feet were dry and warm at the end of the day, wish I could say the same about my drivetrain.
ok, so I wasn't thrilled about paying $40 for a hood until I had and enduro race in an all day rain and low 50 degree temps. It works great, breaths and keeps you warm and dry, no leaks...
the wool is non itchy, breathes, doesn't stink like you get with poly, wicks the morning mist, perfect for early, foggy coastal california. As the fog burns off i slip them down half way and finally off and just stuff them in my back pocket or pack. if you face changing weather these are a lightweight, small and inexpensive answer.
