his is one of the better long travel bikes to come out in a long time.I had the opportunity of riding it at Outerbike last fall and was very impressed.Its designed for the casual trail riders to the enduro racers who are looking to assault the trail both up and down.
The frame is made with a hollow box,high compression internal molding process which creates very dense frame walls and allows the bike to take impacts but is laterally stiff and lightweight.
The pedaling on the bike I found to be very efficient. Its a combo of the updated DW-Link rear suspension, the updated upper link shock mount and the Fox Float X shock ( a sweet combo). It gives the bike cross cross county like efficiency and smoothness.
The DW Link provides an awesome platform for climbing-no pedal bob and anti squat. Its probably the best long travel climber I've tried.
On cornering the bike performed very well. The combo of the short rear end and the slack front end gave the bike a very balanced feel and allows for very quick 180 degree turns.
Pivot took everything we look for in a fun,aggressive trail bike and magnified it in a big way. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.

I just recently purchased this bike after much debate over several brands.Being in the bike industry I have the opportunity to demo many bikes and after riding several models the Ripley rose to the top. This bike performs extremely well over various types of terrain and conditions. Its light weight and very responsive. The unusually short wheelbase (close to a 26" bike) makes it ridiculously flickable and fast in twisty singletrack, big wheels and all! Even tight uphill switchbacks are no problem. I chose to match the frame with the 120mm G2 Fox fork which matches the 120mm of rear travel giving the bike a more balanced feel from front to back. Its a bike you can certainly be deadly on the race track with but feel at home doing long,epic rides with your buddies on the weekend. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.

I have mine built up with XX1 and Mavic Crossmax SLR wheels and it weighs in at 24 lbs. This is an amazing ride at an incredible value. I have had the opportunity of riding the Helium and i must say it is special. Very light weight (this build weighs in under 16 pounds) and handles extremely well climbing and descending. Its just stiff enough to punch out amazing power yet still incredibly comfortable for longer distances. Combine that with the durability of Dura-Ace 9000 (11speed) group, the stability of HED Ardennes LT plus Wheels and a dependable Zipp cockpit makes this bike very well rounded and competitive. If you have the means I highly recommend picking it up (while they last!)

This is one of the better values we have on the site.Santa Cruz was on a mission, with this bike, to be the most versatile, easy-to-ride XC/trail 29er in the entry-level dual-suspension 29er market. I've ridden a lot of 29ers in the 100mm category and I felt right at home on the Superlight 29. In fact just recently purchased one for my wife,which she loves. There are reasons why single pivot designs are still relevant and the superlight highlights them all. It climbs,decends and corners with ease. The geometry is also really nice-giving the bike a perfectly balanced feel on the trail and the XT components are a nice addition for reliable,no non sense, componentry. If you are looking for a new XC 29r and dont want to break the bank, I highly recommend picking one up while they last!

This is one of the best all-around performing bikes we offer. A 1,050-gram monocoque frame with asymmetric chainstays aids in power transfer, while a semi-integrated seat mast and formed, angular tube profiles provide lateral stiffness. The bike's ProTour geometry tilts the GTS more toward the racy end of the performance/comfort spectrum, and with a carbon fork the bike is perfectly capable of serving up equal heapings of speed and distance for riders willing to give as much as they get.The bike is super comfortable for long rides and excels in areas where the roads are rough and coarse. I just recently sent one to my Sister in Kauai and she was in awe of the buttery smoothness and performance on the sketchy roads in Hawaii.if you have the means i highly recommend picking one up.
