Super Fun!
5 5

i recently had the opportunity of riding this bike in Moab and had an absolute blast! Ive been on fatbikes in the past and found them to be heavy and sluggish-but not this bike. The bike comes in around 29.5 lbs and was extremely agile on the trail and the more traditional mtn bike geometry made the bike feel very balanced and at times I forgot i was on a fatbike. The frame is just stiff enough to allow impressive handling in spite of the big tires. The nicest feature of the bike is the Rockshox Bluto fork. its lightweight, simple to use and really expands the abilities of the bike allowing you to take it places you have only dreamed about on a fatbike. It actually feels like it has 5-6 inches of travel allowing you to maneuver over the trickest terrain with ease. Probably the coolest feature of the bike is its ability to run a 29+ wheelset (available through Borealis). it makes the bike very versatile allowing you to swap out the wheels for a skinnier version for the hot,dry summer months and swap back to the fat wheels for the mud and snow season. It like having 2 bikes! so to sum it up this bike is an absolute blast to ride and highly recommended. It sure kept a smile on my face :)

If you have any questions about the bike feel free to contact me direct. My email address is wbranham@competitivecyclist.com or 801-736-6396 x 4074.
I can order the 29+ wheels as well.

Amazing Bike
5 5

've been riding bikes for the past 25 years and have been through many makes and models. I pulled the trigger on one of these this year and I must say i have never had a bike that performed as well as this one. It is extremely comfortable on long distances and the more relaxed geometry (compared to the dogma 2)of the bike makes it a great choice for us old guys. The bike handles extremely well in the climbing department and a very fast descender too. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.
If you have specific questions on this bike i can speak from experience. I'm a sales rep for Competitive cyclist and can be reached directly at 801-736-6396 x 4074 or email at wbranham@competitivecyclist.com

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is one of the better long travel bikes to come out in a long time.I had the opportunity of riding it at Outerbike last fall and was very impressed. Its designed for the casual trail riders to the enduro racers who are looking to assault the trail both up and down. The frame is made with a hollow box, high compression internal molding process which creates very dense frame walls and allows the bike to take impacts but is laterally stiff and lightweight. The pedaling on the bike I found to be very efficient. Its a combo of the updated DW-Link rear suspension, the updated upper link shock mount and the Fox Float X shock ( a sweet combo). It gives the bike cross cross county like efficiency and smoothness. The DW Link provides an awesome platform for climbing-no pedal bob and anti squat. Its probably the best long travel climber I've tried. On cornering the bike performed very well. The combo of the short rear end and the slack front end gave the bike a very balanced feel and allows for very quick 180 degree turns. Pivot took everything we look for in a fun, aggressive trail bike and magnified it in a big way. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up before they are gone! *** If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me direct. My number here is 801-736-6396 x 4074 or email wbranham@competitivecyclist.com

I was happy to see that we are carrying Ellsworth bikes now as I had a chance to throw a leg over one of these at dealer camp and had a blast on it. My initial impressions of the bike were great. On to ride quality: The bike is very well suited for XC type riding and is definitely an epic ride kinda bike. Although I didn't spend a ton of time riding it I felt the bike was very comfortable for spending extended hours in the saddle. Even though it is on the comfort end of mtn bikes it actually climbed well with very little bouncing of the suspension. Due to the longer wheelbase of the bike Its pretty relaxed on long flowy type trails and decends extremely well. Even though the wheel base is a bit long it still handles pretty well in tight, twisty singletrack. To sum it up the bike is super fun to ride and left me wanting to explore more on it. We only have a limited number of these so i would recommend picking one up before the disappear.

This is a custom build and the components chosen are well suited for the bike. If you choose we can swap or upgrade components as well. If you need help or guidance feel free to reach out to me direct. We always have the best prices and service anywhere and yes, we can throw in an extra somethin somethin as well :)

This is a great bike and one of the best gravel grinders on the market. I had a chance to demo it last fall and found it to be very versatile on a variety of different surfaces. Its a little on the stiff side but that translates to awesome power transfer and good climbing. I found it to be very fun and would definitely consider getting one myself. These are custom builds so components and be swapped or upgraded. Hit me up direct if you need guidance.

Awesome 29r!
5 5

I recently had the very fortunate opportunity of riding this bike for a couple of hours down in Moab and I must say I was extremely impressed. So impressed that I bought one. i felt the bike handled very well over lots of varied terrain. It definitely excels in climbing and this is largly due to the single pivot design working in conjunction with the CTD rear shock making for a very stable suspension platform. Its also light as hell, weighing in at just 23.1 pounds. Lightweight and nimble. Definitely the best XC 29r Ive been on and I highly recommend it if you have the means.

Great Stand
5 5

I recently picked up one of these stands for my road bike and am very pleased. The stand inserts easily into my bike crank and comes with different adapters so it covers a wide range of different sized cranks, Its fairly light weight as well so its easily transported. This works great for keeping your bike in place when washing it too. I highly recommend it!

Fun Bike and worth every penny!

I had the opportunity to ride this bike at Outerbike in Moab this year and had an absolute blast on it. The bike was so light weight and agile i totally forgot i was riding a rigid fatbike. If you are in the market for something to ride over the winter months in the snow or in the sand this is definitely the fatbike to get!

Very Pleased

I recently purchased this bike after debating between several. One of the best decisions Ive ever made! It has everything riders loved about the alloy frame but in a lighter, stiffer and more agile version. For only having 100mm of travel the bike actually handles gnarly terrain extremely well, due largely to the slightly slacker head angle. With the lower bottom bracket and shorter chain stays this bike descends extremely fast and is very acrobatic when picking lines.Another amazing component to this bike is the DW-Link suspension. Its a bit stiffer than other suspension offerings by other brands but the suspension only works when you need it to giving it a hardtail like feel when climbing- anti squat too. The icing on the cake is the X01- 1x11 drivetrain which is an awesome compliment to this frame-light weight, very quiet and say good bye to throwing chains! All in all this is a great all around bike. It can certainly be very effective as a race bike yet comfortable enough for long, epic rides with your buddies on the weekend. Its definitely my choice for this season and if you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.

Fast!!

i recently had the pleasure of riding this bike for several hours and I must say I was very impressed with it. The RDO stands for Race Day Optimized and it has one goal-to get you across the finish line first! i found the bike handled extremely well over varied terrain. It definitely excels in out of the saddle climbing as it has a stiff bottom bracket giving the bike an unmistakable feeling of surging forward with every stroke of the pedal. It also felt very grounded when decending and i was able to really let it go as the balanced geometry gave me a very confident experience. The bike is very comfortable too which sometimes is the downfall of a stiff hardtail. I rode the bike for 3+ hours and did not feel beat up when i got off of it. All in all this bike is a steal for this price. If you are looking to up your game with one of the fastest, most comfy hardtails on the market, the Air 9 RDO is definitely the bike for you.
