Here's what others have to say...

This thing does what it says but it does not cover the ear lobes, and since I'm not the only one, I must conclude it's too small and give it a 3. By the way, the similar Castelli WS Skully fits perfectly and does not freeze off your earlobes.

As far as I can tell, this thing holds 2 litres, not 3.
Also, the waist strap is not removable, although I can't figure out why you would want to...
Also, in the key pocket, there is actually a hole to the outside. It looks intentional, but is unacceptable to me. Does anyone else have this problem?

This helmet is not overly heavy and has great side vision. My medium weighs 980 grams, almost exactly 3 times my Fox Striker, but much, much safer.
I agree with Nathan below, If in doubt go smaller. I am right at the very top of the medium chart and was a little worried since my head is kind of round, but the medium fits fantastically.
Also, in case you haven't dealt with Backcountry before, these guys are AWESOME! My helmet came in 1 1/2 days to N. CA. Very happy with this webstore!
One reviewer below talked about the carbon layup at the back of the helmet. Yes, it could have better workmanship; you can see sort of a frayed edge seam, but it isn't horrible. My guess is this is one of the reasons it is so cheap now. For the price, I don't see how you could not buy this thing.

This thing is exactly what I needed to keep my heavy-front-end cruiser stable while parked. It has a big Gamoh basket on it and it can swing around and fall over, especially while loading. This item is a bike-saver!
