This is our fridge. Literally. We live in a tiny house and this is our fridge. Been using it for 13 straight weeks now and this thing is awesome.
We use the yeti ice blocks to maintain the fridge's coolness factor. We have 2 big yeti ice blocks (4 lbs each) and 2 small ones (2 lbs each). Overall, it works, but we don't love it - meaning the yeti ice blocks don't seem like anything more special than a regular plastic ice block that you'd buy at the store. This little paragraph is kind of a review for the ice blocks. Using a rotation schedule, we take the yeti ice blocks back and forth to a freezer at work and bring them home. The blocks keep the fridge pretty cool actually, but don't last for more than 24 hours. Once in a while, we go buy 2 lbs of dry ice and that keeps things real cold for about 24 solid hours.
A bag of ice will survive for a surprising long time. We added a 2 gallon bag to our already chilled Yeti Cooler and there was a little less than 1 gallon of ice remaining 4 days later. Draining the cooler was super easy. Open the spout, all water comes out!
Went with the 35 instead of any other size because it wasn't too big and wasn't too small. We are very happy with the size. Perfect for our situation.
We have a love hate relationship with the top basket. Sometimes its in the way and other times it's wonderful to have.
Yes, I would recommend it.
