Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I read the reviews and was mostly just disappointed in those and not the booties. I'm just going into my 4th season with this same pair and they have held up like champs. At this point the only reason they don't look new is because, well, 3 full winter seasons will hammer any booties. These are quite easy to put on, and I know others think they're not but if you want to find difficult booties try the fugu model...brutal to put on but fantastic for what they're intended. As far as zippers, I have yet to have a single issue. And yes that is after 3 long winter seasons. As a disclaimer there is printing on the sleeve by the zippers that clearly states you need to avoid excessive tearing of the zippers. Try stretching the material and around your shoes and cleats and stop trying to stretch the zippers. Just be delicate with them and they'll last a really long time doing their job better than any other brand! That's just my two cents though.....

This vest is my go to through spring and fall. The fit is amazing, as with all Assos gear, doesn't feel great walking around but perfection when you're working it over on the bike. The front around the stomach section is quite thin, almost like a very stretchy Lycra, but as you move up it thickens and gives you protection where you need it. The fit and movement of this vest is amazing. Placement of every seam and altering materials makes this the best fitting/usable vest I have worn.....ever!!!

I've worn these for nearly a year and a half, put loads of miles on them, and have yet to be disappointed.
They fit different than any other bib. Most other bibs nearly feel like you're wearing a loose girdle as they are cut up so high in the front. These drop much lower which, when you get use to it you wouldn't have it any other way. It also makes those little biological breaks on the go much simpler. They are very much a compression short but not so much that they restrict movement. Glasses holders on the bib portion is a nice treat. The name of the chamois says it all. I have yet to wear a bib more comfortable overall and surely I won't wear anything else. They're worth the money, hard to stomach paying that much but they're worth every penny!!!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'd say I have put this through the ringer, but the ringer with Silca is not for another 20+ years. I've used it a bunch and am amazed every time. The detail and workmanship is incredible. Smooth action, comfortable handle. It is truly a piece of art. The sticker will shock anyone but it's well worth the money whether you're a collector or an avid that wants and end-all pump never having to be replaced. I still can't believe this thing!
