I like the overall concept of these, but my legs are just a little too slim for them. I would like them to compress just a little bit more. I do feel a difference using them though. I especially like them as aids to recovery for stressed calves.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I am using it for hiking and trail running. The size is just right. Almost too small actually. I can fit a compressed down jacket, rain shell, and some snacks in it. On a hot Utah day the bladder will last me between 8-10 miles depending on how hard I am working. Over all the pack is extremely well built and comfortable.
I have run without shoes of any kind, and in several types of barefoot shoes. These have a wider toe box which lets your toes and foot spread out naturally. When I first started using them there was one spot on the inside of my ankle that rubbed a bit, but everything else was fine without socks. They have plenty of traction. Compared to the minimalist they will last longer, but don't breathe quite as well.
