Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Riding without a pack is so nice, but riding without the essentials is unnerving. The Hot Laps is the perfect size to fit everything you need for your ride. I have used it for everything from 30 minute afterwork rides to railing a 33mile TWE ride. On shorter, colder rides I'll us e the bottle holder to stash a jacket. Longer rides I'll fill up a 24oz water bottle.
I only have two very minor complaints:
-The zipper closes right next to the bottle holder, so when you have a bottle in there it takes a little more effort to open.
-The cinch straps loosen up sometimes. If you bounce just right the straps will lose some tension. The pack never falls off, but it does shift. I would like to have some velcro on the straps to keep them snug.
I've had some good crashes this summer/fall and the hot laps stays put and is very durable.
