I started into riding on a 26" even though everyone at my local shop said to get a 29". i just did not feel comfortable on the 29 and if you don't feel it, it's not going to work. so, i went 26 and really loved it, i have no complaints about the 26 size. Having said all that, with the explosion of 27.5 bikes this year I started doing my research. I finally decided on the Yeti SB 75. I am loving it. My speed and abilities are going up every time I ride. The only issue has been that the 1x11 (XO1) 34T chain ring rubs the frame (chainstay). It clears by a fraction just sitting, but in rough conditions the ring barely rubs (paint off) the frame. Conversations with YETI they have said that yes they know this and a 34T is the max that you can run on a SB 75, but a 32T would be better for the clearance. I have switched to 32T ring and the clearance is fine with it. Now it just if I can be Ok with the ratios that the 32T ring brings. I really believe that this issue is more about the crank design than the frame design, but that is my opinion. I love the frame in every other way.

Coming from Shimano XTR shifters i have a hard time getting used to the SRAM shifter in regards that the FWD shift lever must be pushed (SRAM) unlike the Shimano that can be pushed or pulled. I am sure that is just a matter of time and it will be second nature, but for now i find myself shifting up when i want to go down.

I really did a lot of research on gear ratios before deciding on the 1x11 set up. I went with the 34T chain ring and was loving it UNTIL, I found that it rubs the frame (chainstay) when ridden hard. Granted this is a frame design problem, or is it. The issue is complicated, but i think that it would be hard to design any frame that will run a 3x9, 2x10, and 1x11 properly. So i thing that the 1x11 crank needs to be rethought a bit to allow a bit more clearance.
