I have used these elbow guards a few times and I always forget they are on! I have hit a few trees with them and I don't feel anything! I have the S/M, I am a tall female 6'0 with super skinny arms and they feel lose at first but have the straps that help to tighten the guard and at the same time slip right under my long sleeve jersey. They are super lightweight and durable. My boyfriend has TLD guards and recommends his, but states that mine "look really cool and is a bit jealous"!
After trying clipless pedals on a singletrack I decided I either wasn't going to mountain bike ever again or find an alternative. The Five Ten stealth rubber shoes are the best!!! I refer to them as my gummies because they stick to the pedals, rocks, anything you need them to. It's great when I need to jump off last minute, but they also climb well and feel like I have clipless on!!!! I was stoked when I got these because they are uber cute and have great padding around your ankle so you don't catch the chain. I recommend them all the time and I can't wait to go ride in them again!!
My boyfriend and I both have the same pedals, and yes it sounds ridiculous but it just so happens they match both of our Yeti 575 bikes quite well!! The pedals look really nice and even have a change out plate in gold if you prefer gold and black pedals. The pedals also come with longer pins if you feel the ones already installed are too short, but I did not find that necessary. The pedals are not only nice looking, but durable and can take a beating!! I have hit multiple rocks, stumps, and roots and they still look brand new!! I have Five Ten shoes with stealth rubber to use on the pedals and they grip fabulously!! Never once have I slipped off the pedal which is oh so important. I would definitely recommend these to a friend!
