Purchased the black/red version of these gloves and have to say not only are they comfortable, but they're also durable. Means a lot since I'm a beginner trying to go as hard as possible at times, which means my hands will be grabbing and getting scraped up... if it weren't for these gloves. The fit is a tad long, but not too long that dexterity is compromised. Getting in and out of the gloves isn't too difficult despite being soaked with sweat. The only negative of these red palms on the gloves is that they've turned my white bar grips pink. Haven't been able to get them out with soap and water...
To get a better idea of the sizing since this is another one of those items where the sizing chart makes no sense... the length of my middle finger to palm is 7" and width of hand is 8.5". I went with the S.
aside from their large logo placement, POC makes great products, and these shin guards were no exception. it was difficult finding my size using the online guide even from their website so I ended up requesting all three sizes to try. I'm 5'6" with a shin length of approximately 16.5" and a calf width of approximately 15.5" and went with the medium with plenty of room to "grow" via the velcro straps. the small fit my calf width just the same, but I went with the longer medium since I was going to put these over the knee pads anyway.
like I said originally, their product logo is kind of annoying being that I have the knee and these shins the POC logo kind of stands out.
Went through two of these and not willing to give it a third try. Both times I've had these the palm padding separated from the gloves on the same hand. First time was a bit aggressive as I went flying and I grabbed a tree to stop. Second time however it was just from the first day of riding with them where there was no grabbing or flying involved. Just a smooth normal cross country ride. It's unfortunate because the gloves look nice and also provide good ventilation. The second time with the gloves was probably the warmest ride I've been on where I was soaking wet and still the gloves were comfortable and easy to remove. Fit was good width wise, but length was slightly long in the fingers.
