These were the first bibshorts I bought, finally upgrading from my Pearl Izumi shorts. One month and a thousand miles later, I'm still loving them. The only quirk of these is that in the White/Black version, you tan slightly through the material, so the Castelli logo puts a small pale circle on your thigh.
If you've never tried bibshorts, you should, and if Castelli's stuff fits you, give these a shot.
I've never been a fan of gels (too messy) and on days when every last bit of energy has gone to your quads and a Clif Bar seems too much work to chew, these are great. The strawberry is my favorite, washed down with plenty of water. They are like mostly organic gummi-bears, but slightly less chewy.
I love Castelli stuff. This has not disappointed, and the white color is great for keeping the heat down in South Texas.
Very comfortable gloves. I like the consistent padding across the palm. Some other brands have separate pads for the base of the thumb and the base of the pinky, and for me the gap between them hurts my hands.
Yes, they are harder to get off than others, but if you are complaining about difficulty getting your gloves OFF, you clearly aren't cycling enough. :)
