I have both mtb'd both clipped and unclipped with these and they work fairly well for both. my suggestion, however, is, when riding unclipped, wear shoes with a compliant sole. With a harder sole your foot does not contact the spikes enough and instead rides on the egg beaters which act like a roller of sorts and can spit your foot off.
It's sturdy and of quality construction. The twist lock instead of the traditional lever lock is a little strange at first and the presta side is a little awkward, but it seems to be working well so far.
It's a quality product; its construction is very sturdy. The rubber strap it comes with keeps the chain tool from flopping everywhere which is convenient. It's got everything you need to keep your bike running, and it looks like it will last years to come.
No silly strap to mess with. Great for my commute and my mountain ride. Been going strong for almost a year!
Oh ignore the sizing chart and get the size you would normally get. Chart said L, but that was too small.
I thought it would be a little looser as a freeride jersey. The internal jersey is a big surprise and ends up being a little awkward. The inner jersey also makes it difficult to put on. I got a large for the length, and it is pretty tight on me. And I'm very skinny....
