Jamey Driscoll's Bio

They say that you are a product of your own environment, and I am no different. I was raised in Vermont by parents that spent a lot of time outdoors, particularly cycling and skiing, and I quickly followed in their footsteps. Some time in middle school, ball sports became less fun and cycling really became a passion of mine, most likely because of the freedom it gave me at a really young age. I joined the local cycling club, tried a few weekly races and was pretty much hooked on road and cyclocross from there. As I progressed through the junior age groups, my level of commitment increased as well, culminating with a Junior National Cyclocross Championship.
While I attended the University of Vermont, I continued to race at the national level and joined professional road and cyclocross teams. Around a year after I finished school with a mechanical engineering degree, I decided to relocate to Utah to further pursue my professional cycling career. The thing that keeps me so closely attached to this sport are the super long adventure rides that I will have great memories about for years to come. These rides can solo or with friends, and they wipe away all of my thoughts and mental clutter, leaving the simple fact that I love to ride my bike. And when the snow flies, you will find me up at Alta as much as possible, because my passion for skiing has done anything but wane since my parents introduced me to it.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This jacket is amazing, and will keep you as warm as you would ever need for cycling. The breathable fabric on your back and underarm eliminates sweat buildup, unlike other jackets I have used which have felt like garbage bags. The fit is amazing as well, very form fitting with room for layering underneath. Snow biking, road biking, doesn't matter, it's awesome. I am 6'1" 165 lbs and the medium fits great, even on my lanky arms.
