I can't compare these to any other compression leggings, because they're the first I've tried. But I can certainly compare them to not wearing compression leggings, and these feel great!
Though they looked awfully small, the fit was actually great, but the small end was very tight going over my ankle. Hope I don't break the stitching pulling them on & off. Looking forward to wearing them during and/or after 100 miles next Sunday.
My first impression wasn't great. The chamois was uncomfortable and I preferred the lower front and thinner, wider-set straps of my Castelli Podium bibs. After quite a few hundred miles, though, the Neo Power has become my favorite. I've gotten used to the chamois, to the point that it even makes the cheap saddle on my B bike feel okay. The real win, though, is the fabric and compression fit. Just amazingly comfortable. Not to mention they seem to be very well made. Hope I can get a few seasons out of them, but given their low price / high value, I won't complain if I don't. Love, love, love these!
I used to buy all sorts of socks, but once I found SmartWool, I was done with that racket. When I find these on sale I buy extras and put them away for later. The mini, the micro, the light, the extra-light... I love them all, on and off the bike. And when it's wicked cold out, I put on my SmartWool snowboarding socks.
I had middling expectations but they've been laid to rest. These bibs have proven to be extremely comfortable. The wide-set straps are a bit unusual but it works well for me, and the chamois is the best I've ever put under my taint. I've never disliked the usual gripper strips on the legs of other bibs/shorts, but I think I prefer the way these do without it. At bonktown prices these are a steal and a half.
I did, however, find that the size chart here did not match Castelli charts found elsewhere, and would have led me to buy the wrong size. I followed the other charts and the fit is spot-on.
When I initially put this jersey on, I didn't like the fit because it binds around the pits. It seems it's shaped to be worn on the bike though, because once I get over the bars that goes away. I've decided to look at that as a good reminder to quit standing around and get rolling.
Otherwise, it's nice jersey. Good looks, full zip... certainly worth the money at bonktown prices.
I found that the size chart on here did not match that which I found on another site for Castelli gear. They definitely run smaller than PI stuff. I'm a relatively scrawny 140lbs at 5'9" and the medium fits great.
I snagged one of these off of bonktown for a song, and I wish I had gotten more than one. I've found that Giordana bibs don't fit me well, but this jersey fits excellent. Full zip, comfortable fabrics, good looks, and Giordana quality make this a winner. Will have to wait a few months to see how it handles the Georgia summer heat, but for now it's working well with a set of arm warmers.
This stuff definitely runs small compared to PI. I'm a relatively scrawny 140lbs at 5'9" and the medium fits great.
