These are perfect for XC, not as light as some silicone/foam style grips but exponentially more comfortable. The one down side is I can only wrap my thumb and pointer finger all the way around the grip (the wing blocks my other fingers) so for that reason i wouldnt put these on a bike designed to tackle nasty downhillish stuff. But for the xc rides nothing beats it.
i have the large grips as i like the thicker grip. (note the size isnt width or how big the wing is, its the diameter of the grip)
this is a sweet addition to my bike upgraded to a new flat bar and needed a stem to match the 31.8. love it so far (its a stem what is there to hate?) weight is great, definitely better than what i was riding with - new bar and stem dropped about .5lb of my bike. $30 is a pretty good price for the improvement i got
for the price nothing beats it, as far as aluminum goes weighs nothing, so far seems strong (no deflection at all). I love the super narrow bar, I ride mostly xc w/ a little am and this is perfect for me
Snag it of ChainLove for even more savings. Mine hold fine i ride a hardtail, primarily XC with the occasional AM ride thrown into the mix. A friend popped a tube, gave her one of mine holding strong to date i believe... Im a bit of a lightweight so that probably helps, bottom line: if you ride clean XC lines and are on a budget get them, other wise look elsewhere
how do i know what size will fit my bike?
