LOVE this jersey. Glad Castelli finally came out with the Gabba for women.
Stayed warm and dry on a day with 15mph wind gusts and sporadic drizzle. Fits well. Follow the size chart—I am inbetween the Large & XLarge around the chest, and the Large fits perfectly (even with a long-sleeve wool base layer underneath). This is meant to be form-fitting. If you want a looser fit size up.
Is Windstopper X-Lite the same as Windstopper X-Lite Plus?
I like this best mixed into a fruit smoothie (1 banana, 1 cup of blueberries and 1/2-1 cup of water or almond milk) for breakfast. On its own, it's not the most palatable, but not bad if you drink it fast. I find the Natural flavor is the least sweet.
Good jersey for short workouts, would not recommend for long rides.
light weight material is good for hot days/indoor trainer workouts
looks good on
Cap sleeves: practically impossible to wear with arm warmers on chilly mornings/eves without leaving a gap
Weird transparent mesh fabric inserts at back shoulder/back of arm--one could be prone to sunburn there if not careful.
1/2 zip means limited venting and not so easy on/off if one wears bibs
Note the bust sizing when ordering. I'm 38" and XL fits well.
I alternate drinking this and plain water on long rides. Love the mild flavor and the fact that it's not sweet (and no gut rot). I sweat a lot of salt & this works for me.
I like the lighter consistency of this chamois cream in comparison to Chamois Butt'r . It's not heavy or sticky and the slightly minty fragrance is nice. Contains tea tree oil which helps in prevention of saddle sores. A must on hot days or trainer workouts.
LOVE the taste...it's like Horchata BUT holy smokes, it's super gritty. Would be OK mixed into a smoothie, but I think I'll stick to chocolate milk for a quick recovery drink.
Gave it a go, but I found I'm not that fond of the Mango flavor. It's not a strong flavor, and not sweet but I prefer the taste of Skratch.
I usually prefer full-zip jerseys, but this one is great for indoor cycling classes or short high-intensity rides on the road. Keeps me cool (and looking stylish). Sizing is 'european'?took an XL to fit my 36D bust, but rest of jersey fits well for my 5'4" stature (in other words, it's not ridiculously long, and doesn't have that weird, overly deep armhole thing going on that many manufacturers use to accommodate larger bust sizes instead of employing darts or shaping). Fits across my wide shoulders too.
LOVE these socks--I wear them on and off the bike. The sole is extra thick making them cushy and warm. 100% wool means your feet stay warm even if they get damp/ wet. Worth the investment.
I really wanted these to fit...if you have slim feet, these would probably be great. If you have wide feet forget it. I normally wear a 39-39.5, but in these I had to go up to a size 41 to avoid my big toe hitting the end. Even with the larger size they were still bit too snug in the toe box, slipped in the heel, and the extra length made them seem clumsy--not what one wants for cross racing. Had to return them. :-(
Found these to be good for damp, drizzly days. Fairly easy to get on/off. Lack of a heel cutout doesn't bother me, my pair seem to be holding up well. Have yet to use them in a downpour.
Holy moley, the chamois in these tights was HUGE. Don't know if I had an off-pair, but ended up sending these back. Went with the Tenerissimo instead (which aren't water resistant).
These are my go-to bibs for weekly rides. They are comfortable, and the chamois isn't too thick. PI tried making these easy to drop the bottom w/ a bra-strap type release at the back, unless you are uber-flexible, I don't see how you would be able to unhook/rehook it w/ the straps over your shoulders. These have held up well to over a year's regular use.
