Chris jenney's Bio

Born in London, moved to new York when i was young. Lived 20 minutes outside of new York city for the better part of my life. Went to west virginia university to play baseball. When that didn't work out the way I had planned I packed all my stuff and transfered to Westminster College in salt lake city.

Pretty much moved here exclusively for the skiing. Find me at Park City Mountain Resort or Snowbird. Pow days im in the backcountry somewhere.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When I first bought these i wasnt 100% sure what to expect. Maybe a liquid, maybe some sort of gel, but what you actually get is some weird apple-sauce textured fruit mash. The texture was offputting at first, but that was due to expecting something completely different. Once you know what these will be like... theyre actually really good. Its like a mixed fruit apple sauce that delivers tons of energy. I take one of these on the drive to the mountains and feel it working within 30 or so minutes. Drop the redbull and heavily caffeinated energy drinks, have some fruit stuff instead.

This is just enough protection to make sure you break but light enough to wear every day on all sorts of rides. A lot of the dh trails around here require you to climb to them and this feels just like any other wicking baselayer and is surprisingly cool and breaths well. Wish it had a bit more in the collarbone area but the shoulder pad and large chest pad is great

Not sure if there is a more important tool for your bike than allan wrenches. Why not have them all in one compact place for around $10.00!? Some of the CB multi-tools have 26 different tools with different colors and weigh as much as some XC bikes... and how many of those tools do you regularly use?.. just the allen wrenches in my experience. Chain breaker about once a season. Just buy this

I mean... its bar tape, so once its on it feels like every other bar tape and is great. What i really liked is the adhesive. If you mess up, its 'unsticky' enough to peel off and restart with no residue left behind, but it is plenty sticky to hold well, not roll, slip, or anything. Great ease of use!

Update to this review... it does feel better than other bartapes ive used. I hate thick gel tapes and this cork is thin but soft and comfortable. It doesnt get sweaty or slick... i love it

These things are AWESOME. I have never owned a shoe that is so light but still unbelievably comfortable. It is great! Tons of cushion, but you still get a feel for the terrain under your feet. I was going to use them exclusively for trail running and light day hikes/overnights, but theyve turned into a "wear them as often as possible" kind of shoe.

This thing is great. The magnets are extremely strong so you will not lose anything. Honestly, its become more of a fly tying (for flyfishing) tool than a bike took. Does great to hold anything from tiny hooks to large lugnuts.
