Casey Glaubman's Bio

I grew up in Western Washington and moved to Utah a little over 3 years ago in order to pursue life as a professional ski bum.

I couldn't be happier with my decision although I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss being able to walk down to the water whenever I want. ( and no a giant body of smelly water full of brine shrimp does not count)

When I'm not working you can find me playing in the dirt, snow, water, or any place i don't have to worry about the way I smell.

Feel free to give me a call if you need some help! ext. 4285

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

From the recipient:

I haven't crashed while wearing this helmet so I cannot attest to its ability to protect your brain, but I will say that I really enjoy the functionality of the air vents, visor and ratchet adjustment. This is a very well designed and stylish biking helmet.

These socks are fantastic. They're slightly thicker than I was expecting, given my experiences with other bike socks. I'm not sure I'd want to wear these during the heat of the summer, but all other times, they're extremely comfortable.

I'm normally a size12 and the 10-13 fits me great.

Like a magic carpet for my feet

This shoe has been great so far. I've definitely put it to the test, and it's passed with flying colors. I started standing at work all day, and could no longer wear my normal shoes, as my feet would hurt. I started wearing these all day, and it's completely taken care of the problem. On the trail, in their intended usage location, they are absolutely phenomenal. The traction, support, and overall comfort are top-notch.

I'm a size 12 in almost all shoes, and a 12 fits great in these.

these pedals are fantastic. no problems clipping in and out with them at all. they're not a huge platform, but that's not what you'd buy them for anyway. as with any pedals, they took a moment to get the feel for them down. once i did however, they've been bomber ever since. i never have to worry about releasing when i don't want to and clipping out when i need it is never an issue. great pedals overall.

there is only one downside to these guys, and it's completely preventable. i always forget to keep these in an inside pocket and they get real hard from the cold. i still eat them but it makes me feel like i'm gnawing on a hunk of delicious whale blubber or something. this could easily be prevented by me just putting them in a pocket next to my body; i just don't remember. excellent little bars though. it's not their fault i can't remember to put things in the right place.

the only reason i give these 4 stars over 5 is that they're just a bit sweet for my tastes. i realize that's on me for buying something with the word honey in the name. i probably should have seen it coming. that being said, these really do give that needed kick when you're out on the trail and you just need something to get you to the top. highly recommended if you need a snack. just make sure to get the ones with caffeine.

I love these little things. I got a bunch of the caffeinated ones and they are fantastic. I have these stuffed into the pockets of my packs and jackets and rarely go on a ski tour without them these days. I'm sure that some of it is a placebo effect, but I swear that as soon as I crack open a sleeve of these, the top of the peak just gets that much closer.
