Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The fit and quality of the shoe is excellent. The Velcro straps and micro ratchet system work well. The materials are very nice and the shoe fits true to size, but a bit snug across the bridge of the foot. Thin summer socks and you're good to go. I wear size 11 in most cycling shoes (Sidi 12). The sole is stiff enough and the liner inside is on par with $250.00 shoes.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I liked the shoe itself. Very stiff sole, 3 strong Velcro straps, vivid colors, and quality construction. I have personal experience with Sidi, Bontrager, Lake, and Giro shoes in both road and MTB varieties. I'm a size 11 sneaker in every brand I have, but in cycling shoes, I can wear an 11, 12, 45 or 46. The carbide's run small similar to Sidi shoes. I wear 46 in Sidi, 45 in Bontrager, and 46 Wide in Lake MXZ303's. Basically, the Giro's run narrow across the bridge of the foot. I sent them back for a refund.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Phenomenal wheel set...strong, fast, spins like a record and lightweight. A few hundred miles into use and the rims are everything I expected. It's quite amazing how a 23mm Conti 4 season mounts up to a 25mm wide rim opposed to a traditional 23mm rim. I'm a 200 pounder and the wheels don't flex at all.

Back for a 2nd color...

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I already own the highlighter yellow Savant and I just purchased the matte white/black version on clearance. Phenomenal value for such a comfortable, stylish Giro helmet. I've tried other brands and I always come back to Giro. I also own a Saros, Atmos 2, and an Air Attack Shield. As is the case with most Giro road helmets, my Oakley Jawbones fit perfectly.

Bought this elite pursuit version in true red/black and the elite black/black version. Both in XXL. The fit is outstanding and the material is top of the line. I wish there were more colors available in XXL, I'd buy them all. 6'00", 220 lb muscular build and the arms actually fit me unlike most Euro jerseys. I wear XXL in Primal & PI, 3XL in Castelli just for comparison's sake.

What a great product. I own quite a few Castelli, Primal and PI jerseys, this is my favorite. This is the 2011 in-R-cool version too. The fabric is thin, durable and almost silk-like, but it's better! I have larger biceps and this is one of the few jerseys that actually doesn't choke my arms into submission. Bought the XXL version at 6'00, 220 lbs. Came back and bought the white/black version too. Just as a point of reference, I wear XXL in Primal, XXL in PI, and 3XL in Castelli jerseys.

Castelli just gets it...period. Every product I buy from them seems to jump to the top of my favorites list. This is a great beanie. Fits different than the Garmin 50/50 wool/acrylic beanie. This hat covers a larger portion of your ears than does the Garmin hat. Black and grey with a bright red sewn on Castelli scorpion satisfies my minimalist side. Serves its' purpose in the chilly Northeast climate.

Wore these out on a 35 mile, 38 degree ride in upstate NY in February and they performed beautifully. Multiple 40-50 mile rides between 40-50 degrees felt even better. Yes, they fit snug. Yes, they're European sizing. I'm 6', 225 lbs and the XXL fit very comfortably. If you have a huge beer gut, buy another brand. The progetto x2 pad is the best I've used to date. The shoulder straps are silky soft, but durable after several washings and the leg zippers are heavy duty quality. I'll be buying the knicker version soon.
